I apologize for the newbie question. I'm using PT 12.4.

Should RM be loaded in the Aux track or the master track?

Both is possible. The master track is the most usual. But if you use an aux-track for headphone monitoring you should put it on that track. The advantage of that is that you don't have to remember to turn of Redline Monitor when you switch to listening on speakers.
