Controls and crashes

Hi all.
Working with the demos and a couple of issues with this one.
Controls are difficult and jumpy. uninstantiating this plug crashes Protools.
Running 7.4 on WinXP

In what sense do the controls misbehave--difficult regarding what?--and is the crash upon uninstantiating reproducible?  Also could you try right clicking on the 112dB logo, it shd show a popup menu item "Troubleshooting > Send crash report".  Select the item and it shd confirm if the report was sent.  I might be able to infer more from the report.
