A feature request...
« on: August 25, 2009, 05:03:10 PM »
Hey guys - here's one prob I have with redline that's not really a "bug"...

If I do a long mix session with phones, and then burn it to CD or iPod to test the translation... I find it's REALLY hard to remember to turn redline off... and then I'm all "where's the stereo spread???"

One thought might be a (user selectable) flashing light somewhere - or perhaps a popup window when one selects "bounce to disk"... something that reminds you it's "on" but isn't amazingly obtrusive?

Or is this just another incidence of my EOA disorder (early-onset-alzheimer's)...

Just a thought - MC

It's a good and useful idea, but unfortunately it's hard (and often impossible) for a plugin to know whether a bounce is in progress as hardly any hosts pass that information.  Even so I'll put it on the wishlist and see if we can come up with a way to detect this.

Thanks,
