Redline Crash in Cubase
« on: March 17, 2009, 09:58:41 PM »
Hi, I'm interested in the redline monitor and am trying out the demo now.
I've been getting a crash, or system lockup whenever I double click any knob
to insert a numerical value.

Using Cubase 4. Windows Vista 32.

cheers. -n

Strange, I just tried here (admittedly in Vista 64) and no such problem here.  Any chance you could try whether this also happens with different hosts?

Thanks,

Just tried it with Forte (Live performance VST host) and I get the same behavior. System lockup, have to force kill the app. I will try it on my win xp boot as well and see, I have protools 7 there as well.

So everything is fine on my XP install, Cubase 4, Cubase SX3 and Pro Tools 7.1 all work fine. Just Vista32 crashing with both hosts I have there when double clicking a knob. I do get the pop up window showing the current value and prompting you to enter a new value, but at that point I get system lockup.

Cool, many thanks for trying that--so it is Vista 32 specific apparently.  I'm on it.

Take care,

I am running Vista 32 and pro tools le and am experiencing the very same behavior. Very frustrating as a reboot is required after each freeze. Is there a fix or workaround for this issue?

Just for the record, this bug is confirmed.  I'll post back here when a resolution is available.

Thanks,
