Feature Request - Bypass behaviour
« on: November 18, 2009, 01:36:26 AM »
Using Redline Monitor on ProTools 8:

When I Bypass this plugin, the speaker simulation algorithm is bypassed, but the other settings are not (mono, phase etc.) which on the whole is a good ides, but I think the dim setting should be bypassed. It's only there to make up for the gain boost created by the main algorithm, and now it operates at -6dB, bypassing the plugin to switch to speakers (or do a bounce) requires deselecting "dim" as well or you are throwing away 6dB.

cheers,
nick

Sounds like a good point to me, unless I can think of a compelling reason not to this behavior shd be implemented in the next maintenance release.

Thanks,
