Title: Redline preset changes to favorite number 8 in Live
Post by: ninox_rufa on October 30, 2010, 05:33:44 AM
Hi,

Noticed a big problem which seems related to this one:

I wonder if the OP solved it?

When I duplicate parts of the Live arrangement using command D, alt/option drag, copy and paste etc the favorites parameter changes from whatever number is selected to number 8. This happens across all tracks with Redline on them.

In the screenshot I alt/option dragged bars 19-25 onto 25-31. You can see that the copied version has switched to favorite 8 on two different tracks. Also when the play marker goes back to a section with the favorites set to 1 in the automation it doesn't change back. Redline remains stuck on 8.

In order to get this to happen you must first insert the reverb on a track, then move one of it's parameters eg just adjust the dry/wet, then duplicate the midi clip. If you don't first move a parameter before copying, the bug doesn't happen.

I've replicated this consistently with versions 1.01 and 1.04 in several Live sets. So it doesn't look like it was an erroneous controller in the OP's set.

Hope you can replicate this and get a fix asap. It's unusable for me until then.

thanks

Update: Just remembered to check the VST version and it's okay! So the bug is only in the AU version.

Thanks much for the detailed info and detective work, this shd allow us to reproduce and fix it here.

For now I recommend resorting to the VST version, but you guessed that already. :)

Take care,
