I just tried the demo and I'm impressed. It's a lot better than the free ones I have tried.

If you do any mixing on headphones Redline Monitor is simply essential. Period.

All you need is a good set of headphones, and you're there.

Been using Redline Monitor now for a couple of months with my Sennheiser HD650s, and I am so pleased with the change it's made to my headphones mixing! I definitely prefer my Genelecs in my studio, but I've been forced to work elsewhere on and off during the last two years, and it's been invaluable to have "the next best thing" available. My mixes after starting to use Redline Monitor have translated really well to my studio system and to club PAs.

This is what I've been wanting. It narrows the stereo spread, but in a way that reacts very much like a room. The reverb levels were spot on after I checked out in the real world. The phantom center was there again just like with monitors (almost) and I got my lead vocal levels right in a flash. I'm buying. Great product.

Does it have any disadvantages? Not really. I tried the plugin with three different pairs of headphones, and it worked great in all cases. If you do any regular and prolonged mixing on headphones Redline Monitor is simply essential. Period.

And for people who have to rely on headphones due to neighbours or what do I know - the 112dB Redline Monitor plugin is outstanding. You won't give up using your monitor boxes, but you get better mixes done if you HAVE to use headphones like I have to do often.

I've used this a fair bit with some Sennheiser HD280 cans, and it actually translates really well to studio control room situations, even with video stuff. Plus for late-night work, headphones are really convenient.

After hours of working on a mix my neck and shoulders can get stiff. With the Redline Monitor plug I can lay on the floor and still be right in the sweet spot. For $99 bucks I can listen to a mix on headphones and be able to translate right back to my monitors that cost 30 times as much. My ears and my neck love this product.

I have reached a point with Redline Headphone Monitor that I can no longer do headphones without it. It just sounds SO much more like my speakers.

What witchery is this?! BURN IT! It must be the devil! It made me forget I was wearing headphones and I wondered why my ears were hot!

As long as you have a very decent set of earphones, this plugin is quite exceptional.

I just started using the plug on my mixes. I really like the plug. All you need is a good set of headphones, and you're there.

Wow, seems right on. Gives the feel of monitors. I might just start doing some mixing on the cans.

I just tried the demo and I'm impressed. It's a lot better than the free ones I have tried. It makes it all sound more solid, like decent monitors do.

I don't normally use third party plugins, but Redline Monitor from 112dB has become a must-have for me. Now you can actually attain a solid mix in your headphones (great for when you're travelling) without having to do a check on the monitors.

Use 112dB Redline Monitor. It rocks. Certainly. It is really good, much better than anything I've tried before.

I compose 90% on headphones--levels and dynamics processing used to be all over the place. My headphones mixes now translate quite well when listening on monitors. Great job 112dB!

I spent a bit of time setting it up to reflect my monitors and did some mixes using some top of the range grado cans. The mixes translated very very well and only needed a few tweaks when on the monitors. Good job on this!

Checking a recently completed CD master project with Redline Monitor activated as track plugin, I quickly came about one point in the audio where a spectrogram noise repair obviously wasn't done seamlessly enough, but which hadn't been revealed before (neither via the normal headphone sound nor significantly enough via the loudspeaker monitors). I would like to compliment you for this highly useful tool! A really essential tool for improvement of professional editing/mastering via headphones.

John Butler

What a brilliant idea. I was considering all these new room correction things, but this is a very simple solution to improve my sound.

Brilliant! Finally a tool to check your mixes at midnight with all sleeping neighbours. The translation is almost perfect to me--immediately fixed a 4kHz problem in a song I was fighting with for 3 days.

This is an absolutely fantastic tool.

At first I didn't like it. The bass and lower mids seemed to disappear. But after switching it off I realised how muddy and boomy the bottom end was previously. Obviously a major contributor to the fatigue I use to experience. Switched it back on and everything just seems so precise now...

And I can almost see the music dancing on my nose now. My monitors will still be my main source of mixing obviously. But now i'm more than happy to be working on headphones.

What an extremely useful tool. No... scrap that... what an absolutely ESSENTIAL tool for the home recording musician. Superb! A thumbs up, 10 out of 10 from the Hogan jury!

Many other simulations alter the sound way too drastically, so its really impressive how the sound stays natural.

I'm pretty impressed! By far the most useful "makes headphones viable for mixing" tool I ever tried.

This is very much like speakers. Dynamic changes are easier to hear so my guess is that it'll be tremendous help in setting volume levels of various sources. I also had much easier time using a mid/side EQ and equalizing the stereo signal the way I wanted it.

IMHO this is currently the best "fake speakers" thing on the market (I've tried all I've found) because of the way it seems to help one make correct decisions when it comes to dynamics. It does not sound at all like speakers in a room which is a GOOD thing, in my opinion.

This one really works. It was not difficult to mimic my monitor setup. Great!
